U-Safe is a security company created by students for students.
Our idea was first conceived during my first year of University as part of a group “New Venture” project. The idea for security safe came about after my mom had given me one to take with me to residence. Like any parent, she was worried about me living away from home and sharing a room with 1 friend and 3 strangers.
The safe was very useful but I always found myself fighting between charging my electronics while I was out, or storing them in the safe. If I kept them out and one of my roommates had people over or forgot to lock the door I risked having my valuables stolen. Or if I put them in the safe, my electronics would not be charged by the time I got back, which was problematic for class.
The idea to include a built-in charging outlet was done to make it easy for students to charge their electronics and keep them safe.
In my 3 year, I decided to launch U-Safe, taking what we had learned in my first-year business project and changing the business plan to benefit students and schools.
